Desert Palms Alice Springs

Really relaxing stay. Rooms were clean and well kept. Pool was clean and much appreciated at the end of the day after being beat down by the sweltering heat. Stayed in Room 132. Ask for a room in the back of the hotel facing the mountain / hill if you want a view in the morning while drinking coffee. Definitely would stay here again whenever passing through The Alice.

I really want to start this review with the fact the service here was immpecable! I do not know the names of the ladies that helped us as house keepers were absolutely incredible as was the manager dealing with the issues. The resort itself is great the pool the rooms facilities are wonderful. Unfortunately we woke up with bed bugs and I am suffering badly they were well engrained. I am very understanding of the fact this is an issue in Alice and not limited to this hotel, but the ask is if it is a known issue what are the extra measures being put in place? I want to thank the housekeepers for washing and deep cleaning all of our clothes and as I said the manager offered a full refund cannot fault service and I know the bed bugs weren’t put there on purpose ……….just disappointed that my holiday is now full of antihistamine and steroid cream?

Best hotel accommodation in Alice Springs. The abundance of palms gives real oasis in the desert feel. The standalone villas with beautiful wooden high ceilings give really spacious independent feel. The kitchenette is decked out with cooking equipment and reception has a great range of food items from bacon to baked beans, milk, cereal, bread fruit and more. It's also a 5 minute walk to saltbush buffet breakfast, Hanumans Asian fusion for lunch and dinner, and the golf course with range of pub meals and pizzas, lawn bowls, and golf including a driving range. Also a 15 minute walk to the Botanic gardens which has a range of smaller walks. It's a family run business and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is one of the best family pools in Alice Springs ranging from 0.4m to ~1.8m so everyone's needs are met. The island in the middle and water fall are fun too!

Nice accommodation before and after our tour. Clean and tidy with most of the things you need to be comfortable. Some food and alcohol served in reception. Luggage storage for your bags when on tour which is a nice touch. One less thing to worry about. Had a refreshing dip in the cold pool which is really aimed towards kids in its design, but did the job. About a twenty minute walk to the shops or get a $10 Uber. Ideal place for a short stay.
